Courses & Workshops
Courses are designed for parents, caregivers, and educators who are interested using sign language with hearing children. I also hold courses, when there is enough interest or demand, for parents that have children who are deaf or hard of hearing. We are located in the Gainesville, FL area.

Nesting Parent Course is for parents who are expecting a baby. You will receive instruction of more than 300 different signs, will learn the many benefits of using American Sign Language to communicate with your hearing baby, learn specific directions on how to teach your baby signs, and have an opportunity to view baby signing resource materials. Course materials are included in course fee. A spouse, caregiver, or other family member is welcome to join the class for free! (Limit one extra person per paying customer.) 6 weeks long, 1 hour per week. $120 total.
Parent and Hatchling Courses are signing classes designed for a parent/caregiver and hearing baby or toddler to take together. You will learn useful signs to communicate with your baby or toddler to help reduce (or even eliminate) the terrible-twos! Baby friendly activities, songs, and books are incorporated into the hour long session. Course materials are included in fee. Contact me to join a group I’m hosting, or create and host a group at your home (held at a day and time that suits your group) and get a host discount! Great for playgroups, homeschool groups, church groups, libraries, and community centers. 6 weeks long, 1 hour per week. $120 total.
Educator’s Course is for preschool through elementary school teachers interested in learning American Sign Language for use in the classroom. In this course you will learn the many benefits of using American Sign Language in your classroom and receive ideas and resources for incorporating ASL into your curriculum to easily make learning a multisensory experience. All materials are included. Private training is available at your school or other educational facility.
Private Consultations for Individuals or Groups allows Earlybird Education to design a unique event at the location of your choice (great for birthday parties!), or maybe you just want to have a consultation held in the privacy of your own home on your schedule. Either way, your specific needs and interests will be addressed to create a customized instructional program specifically for you. Please contact me for a quote.
Specialized Program for Early Education and Development (SPEED) Course is a course specifically designed for preschool children aged 3-5 years old, with a limit of 6 children per group. This specialized course takes advantage of your child’s desire to learn about the world around him and targets important areas of language development. American Sign Language, music, and art are incorporated to create a multisensory learning experience. This course is perfect for daycare centers, preschools, churches, and summer camps. Full course customization is available.
